    Cable – stayed bridge, having an opening of 180 m, 420 m length and two viaducts of 240 m each.

    Two piles, having a 65 m height, sustain the bridge with steel cables.

    It has the longest opening in Romania between piles (200 m), and together with the viaducts, it forms a connection of 907 m between the two banks of the canal.

    Pod hobanat, cu o deschidere de 180 m, lungime de 420 m si doua viaducte de 240 m fiecare.

    Doi piloni, inalti de 65m, sustin prin hobane (cabluri de otel) acest Pod.

    Podul are cea mai mare lungime din Romania intre 2 piloni (200m) si, impreuna cu viaductele, formeaza o punte de 907m lungime intre cele doua maluri ale Canalului.

    Mutarea statuilor de la Universitate

    Spiru Haret, Gheorghe Lazăr, Mihai Viteazul şi Heliade Rădulescu au revenit sâmbătă pe locul lor iniţial de la Universitate. Operaţiunea de mutare a început la 5:30 dimineaţa, prima statuie fiind cea a lui Spiru Haret, având o înălţime de 9,5 metri şi o greutate de 124 tone. Au urmat pe rand, Gheorghe Lazăr (8.5 m, 117 t), Mihai Viteazul (8 m, 97 t), si Heliade Rădulescu (9 m, 104 t).

    Pentru transport, care a durat aproximativ o oră pentru fiecare statuie, s-a folosit un treiler modular special adus din Austria, iar pentru încărcare şi descărcare, două macarale speciale de 500 si 250 tone. La operaţiune a participat o echipă de aproximativ 100 oameni, care s-au coordonat perfect.

  • Relocating the statues from the University Square

    Relocating the statues from the University Square

    Spiru Haret, Gheorghe Lazar, Mihai Viteazul and Heliade Radulescu returned to their original place at the University on Saturday. The moving operation started a 5:30 in the morning, the first statue being that of Spiru Haret, with a height of 9.5 meters and 124 tons weight. It was followed by Gheorghe Lazar (8.5 m, 117 t), Mihai Viteazul (8 m, 97 t) and Heliade Radulescu (9 m, 104 t).

    For the transport, which lasted about an hour for each statue, a special modular trailer from Austria was used, and for loading and unloading, two special cranes of 500 and 250 tons. The operation was attended by a team of 100 people, who coordinated perfectly together.
